Twitch Account Switcher is a Chrome extension that helps users switch between their own saved Twitch accounts directly on Twitch.
Data Stored by the Extension
The extension stores the following data locally in Chrome extension storage:
- Saved Twitch session cookies needed for account switching
- Account display labels, login names, and avatar URLs
- The display order of saved accounts
- Temporary state used during the add-account flow
How the Data Is Used
The stored data is used only to provide the extension's account switching features. The extension saves the current Twitch session, clears Twitch cookies when adding another account, restores a selected saved session, and reloads Twitch tabs so they match the active account.
Data Sharing
The extension does not sell, share, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties. It does not send saved Twitch session data to an external server.
Remote Code
The extension does not use remote code. All JavaScript, CSS, and image assets used by the extension are included in the extension package.
Permissions
The extension requests access to Twitch domains so it can add the account switcher UI to Twitch pages and manage Twitch cookies for account switching. It requests storage to save account data locally and tabs to reload open Twitch tabs after a switch.
User Control
Users can delete saved accounts from the extension's Twitch menu. Removing the extension from Chrome also removes its locally stored extension data.
